Easter Holidays pt.1
I think this is another blog update, picking it up from where I started a couple of months ago, trying to post somethig regularly for my own memories and to see a potential progress in my english. Of course I didn’t commit completely to it and so I haven’t posted anything ‘blog’ related in a while now, but my stay is still not over, so I thought I’d give it another go for what’s left of my afventures in Straya.
To begin with, yesterday evening I went with my host dad and sister to the movies to see Captain America The Winter Soldure. It was an AMAZING movie and I recommend everybody to see it! So many plot twists and nail-biting moments.. I couldn’t stop watching it with my eyes wide open, glued to the screen. Definately worth seeing in the cinema’s!
Secondly, my dutch friend Laura Nieuwburg came to visit me from Glenn Innes (NSW) for a couple of days last week. We did quite some stuff together, we went to Wellington Point, Cleveland pool, Brisbane’s South Bank, watched a movie, had a little photoshoot... but most of all; we had an opportunity to see and speak dutch to each other in Australia and have a great catch up since the first time we met in the Netherlands. (Even though there wasn’t much of proper dutch speaking, as we were constantly mixing our sentences up with english words as well.)
Lastly for this ‘blog update’, my mom is coming to Australia in exactly 14 days!!! That is just two weeks away from now! We’ll be travelling around and doing some typical Aussie stuff, but most of all, we’ll get to see each other again after a year (10 months) which I can’t wait untill the day finally comes when I get to pick her up from the airport. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown, which also brings me to the next point. I’ll be leaving Australia three weeks earlier than planned, because I (apparently) broke a rule from the organizations and they gave me a couple of choices. What it comes to is that I chose to end my program and leave Australia three weeks earlier than planned, in order for me to have a great time with my mom and being able to travel for two weeks without any worries about rules and responsibilities over me of other people other than my mom etc. This also means that I’m finishing school five weeks earlier than planned, which makes me really sad in some way... I hope that I will stay in touch with a lot of my Aussie mates and that I will never forget my adventures that I shared with you guys and that we’ll soon meet each other again. I will never forget the year of my life and I will cherish every single bit of it that has passed, is happening and that is yet to come. Thank you Australia for everything! So far...
Ps. I’m on the cover of the WEP facebook page hihi
